D.Pharma Program

Our Diploma in Pharmacy program at Dayal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DIPS) is an introductory course intended for individuals who want to pursue a long-term career in the pharmaceutical industry. This curriculum is well known for its emphasis on the workplace and for providing students with the fundamental information and abilities needed to succeed in a variety of pharmaceutical roles. Graduates of the diploma program can register as licensed pharmacists, a qualification that leads to a plethora of career options in the healthcare and allied industries.

The Diploma in Pharmacy has been carefully divided into three sections:

Parts I and II: These first two sections contain a great deal of theoretical information as well as practical skills related to every aspect of pharmaceutical research, including the creation, production, and distribution of drugs.
Part III: This important stage is all about practical training. Depending on space availability and collaborations with esteemed organisations, students get practical experience in settings including community pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

Goals for Education

The goal of the course is to:
  • Provide comprehensive understanding of human bodily systems.
  • instruct on how to prepare and package both conventional and contemporary dosage forms.
  • Describe the uses, effects, and chemical makeup of different medications.
  • Offer explanations of basic compound preparations and classifications. Cover Indian laws pertaining to pharmacies.
  • Gain knowledge about market research, inventory control, and medicine store management.
  • Provide fundamental understandings of clinical and hospital pharmacy with an emphasis on illness and medical services.
  • Learn about the fundamentals of pharmacognosy, which includes studying medicinal plants.

Course Information:

Duration: 2 Years

Eligiblity for DPHARMA

Qualifications: Candidates must have passed an intermediate exam using PCM or PCB, or an exam that is comparable. SC and ST candidates must receive a minimum of 45%, while general and OBC candidates must receive at least 50%.

Diploma in Pharmacy graduates are well-suited for jobs in the public and private sectors as production executives, quality analysers, or pharmacists. Diploma holders might also choose to continue their education via lateral admission into the B.Pharma program's second year.
